Committed to sustainability, Idra Water partnered with Magical Mushroom Company® to introduce Mushroom® Packaging to Italy. This collaboration reflects Idra’s vision to reduce plastic waste while offering an exceptional customer experience that connects people with the planet.

THE PROBLEM
100% PLASTIC-FREE AND COMPOSTABLE PACKAGING REQUIRED
Idra Water needed a packaging solution that would protect their MY idra bottles during shipping while remaining 100% plastic-free and compostable.
Traditional materials like polystyrene and plastic conflicted with Idra’s zero-waste philosophy, and the team had struggled to find an alternative that aligned with their values without compromising functionality.
The challenge was to find a packaging material that was both environmentally responsible and affordable, while also enhancing the unboxing experience for their customers.
THE SOLUTION
STRESS, DROP, AND VIBRATION TESTED, FULLY COMPOSTABLE PACKAGING
Magical Mushroom Company® provided Idra Water with a custom Mushroom® Packaging solution made from mycelium and recycled hemp.
The packaging was rigorously stress, drop, and vibration tested to ensure it provided the durability needed for safe shipping. Fully compostable, the packaging biodegrades within 40 days, enriching the soil and aligning perfectly with Idra’s zero-waste mission.
In addition to being protective and sustainable, the Mushroom® Packaging creates a tactile, velvety surface that connects customers with nature and reinforces Idra’s commitment to the environment.

Idra Water successfully launched their MY idra bottles with Mushroom® Packaging, offering customers a premium unboxing experience that aligns with their eco-conscious brand identity.
The beautiful, reusable packaging enhances the customer journey, featuring flower paper inside that allows the box to be repurposed as a vase.
