In Europe, over 30 million tonnes of packaging material is sent to waste every year. By utilising Mushroom packaging, our customers can break apart each box after use and add the pieces back to soil in house plants or in the garden. The box pieces will fully decompose in around 45 days, leaving absolutely no waste for landfill.
HEADSTRONG
At Headstrong, we provide the highest quality mushroom supplements that fit seamlessly into your daily routine. Headstrong was started by Finn Hall in May 2023. We are based in North West England. Just like our product, we wanted our packaging to be natural, organic and from the earth. With our boxes removing co2 from the atmosphere in the production process, and being broken down and returned to the soil after use, our partnership with the Magical Mushroom Company means that we can commit to reducing our environmental footprint as much as possible.
POLYSTYRENE PROBLEM
From the outset of the project, we wanted to avoid our packaging being thrown away on arrival, as is the case with almost any consumer product. We had the idea of combatting this issue by making the packaging something that aesthetically, the customer would be proud to keep in their home
Sustainable solution
When we found out about Mushroom Packaging, and the alignment with our mushroom supplements, we knew that the beautiful textured appearance of the material could be utilised to not only reduce our waste, but to create an extension of the product that could act as a conversation piece when kept on any countertop, providing a more holistic product experience.
RESULT
We get so many messages from our customers telling us how much they love the uniqueness of our packaging solutions, along with mamny images of the box storing our product proudly inside the home. Our mushroom packaging solution has solved our issue of packaging waste and added a new and exciting element to our product. We cant wait to continue working with The Magical Mushroom Company in the future.
