THE PROBLEM

Renais Gin needed a packaging solution that aligned with their sustainability goals without compromising on the quality and protection required for luxury spirits.
Traditional materials like polystyrene and plastics were not viable options due to their environmental impact.
The challenge was to design a compostable material strong enough to safeguard glass bottles during shipping while maintaining the brand’s premium aesthetic.
THE SOLUTION
CREATE BESPOKE PACKAGING FROM STRONG, BIODEGRADABLE STRUCTURES
Magical Mushroom Company® created bespoke Mushroom® Packaging for Renais Gin, using agricultural waste bound with mycelium to form strong, biodegradable structures.
The packaging was grown in moulds to provide a custom fit for Renais Gin bottles, ensuring durability and safety during transit.
Fully compostable and breaking down within 40 days, the packaging offered a sustainable alternative to traditional materials, complementing Renais Gin’s eco-friendly ethos.
